Metal Bending
Metal Bending Services for Complex Equipment Sheet Metal Parts
We coordinate metal bending with laser cutting, welding, powder coating and assembly to manufacture custom sheet metal components for industrial equipment, automation systems and hardware products. One BG CNC team manages the process across our network of proven manufacturing partners, helping reduce drawing misunderstandings, fit-up issues and avoidable rework.
Send us your drawings or 3D files for a manufacturing review. Our engineers can assess bend geometry, flat patterns, tolerances and assembly requirements before production begins.
Metal Bending for Parts That Need to Fit
A bent component can look correct on its own and still cause problems during welding or assembly. Bend radius, material behavior, flat-pattern dimensions and tolerance accumulation all affect the finished part.
This matters especially for equipment projects with
- Multiple bends or complex bend sequences
- Different bend angles on one component
- Close-fitting covers, brackets, frames or enclosures
- Welded sheet metal assemblies
- Interfaces with machined parts or purchased components
- Alignment, clearance or appearance requirements after powder coating
We review these relationships as part of the manufacturing plan, rather than treating each bend as an isolated operation.
Coordinated Sheet Metal Manufacturing
BG CNC provides a single point of coordination for sheet metal projects that involve multiple processes. Based on your part design, material, quantity, quality requirements and target lead time, we match the work to suitable manufacturing partners from our network of more than 50 proven partners.
Laser Cutting
Blanks, holes, slots and profiles prepared for accurate forming.
Metal Bending
Brackets, panels, channels, frames and formed components.
Welding
Fabricated assemblies built to fit mating components.
Surface Finishing
Coordination of finishing steps, including powder coating where appropriate.
Assembly & Packaging
Completed parts or subassemblies prepared for your next step.
Inspection Coordination
Inspection arranged based on project requirements.
This approach is useful when a project requires more than one supplier or process. You work with one BG CNC team while we coordinate engineering questions, production, quality and delivery.
DFM Review to Reduce Rework
Our 10 manufacturing engineers have more than 10 years of industry experience. For sheet metal projects, we review the design and manufacturing sequence to identify issues that could affect cost, fit or repeatability.
Bend radius and feature placement
The selected bend radius affects the formed geometry and available space for nearby holes, slots, flanges and other features. We review feature placement in relation to bend lines and discuss adjustments when the design may be difficult to form consistently.
Flat-pattern and developed dimensions
The flat pattern must account for material behavior during forming. If developed dimensions do not match the intended formed shape, parts may be too long, too short or difficult to assemble. We check the relationship between supplied geometry and the manufacturing approach, clarifying assumptions before production.
Material springback
Material can partially return toward its original shape after bending. Springback depends on material and part geometry, so the formed angle may differ from the programmed or nominal angle. We coordinate with the selected partner to consider springback during process planning, particularly for parts with multiple bends or tight assembly interfaces.
Tolerance accumulation
Small dimensional variations can add up across multiple bends and assembly features. A part may meet individual dimensions but still be difficult to fit when combined with other components. We review critical interfaces and help distinguish functional from non-critical dimensions so inspection focuses on what matters to assembly.
Structural simplification
Where practical, we look for ways to simplify the design without compromising its function. Depending on the part, this may include adjusting bend features, reducing unnecessary operations, revisiting tight tolerances or coordinating a more efficient cut-and-form sequence.
Our goal is to help you identify manufacturing risks before they become scrap, delayed assembly or costly drawing revisions.
A Practical Process from Drawing to Delivery

Inspect and prepare for delivery
Inspection and documentation are arranged according to project requirements, followed by packaging and logistics coordination.
Is Our Metal Bending Service a Fit?
Our service is suited to overseas B2B companies that need custom sheet metal parts or assemblies and want support managing manufacturing in China.
Typical projects include
- Automation and robotics equipment
- Industrial machinery and test equipment
- Electrical and electronic enclosures
- Brackets, panels, plates, frames and covers
- Low- to medium-volume production with multiple part numbers
- Sheet metal components combined with CNC-machined parts
- Projects requiring welding, finishing and assembly coordination
Where we add the most value
We are particularly useful when you need several processes managed together, or when the finished part must fit accurately with other components.
When we may not be the best fit
If your project is a high-volume, single-part order driven only by the lowest unit price, our supply-chain coordination model may not be the best fit.
What to Include in Your RFQ
To help us review your project efficiently, provide as much of the following as available.
- 2D drawings and 3D CAD files
- Material and thickness requirements
- Bend, finish and coating specifications
- Critical dimensions and mating-part details
- Quantity per part and expected repeat volume
- Required inspection or traceability documentation
- Target delivery date and destination
