Aluminum Extrusion

Custom Aluminum Extrusion for Frames, Rails and Equipment Profiles

BGCNC coordinates custom aluminum extrusion and secondary manufacturing for B2B buyers. We match your profile, order volume and finishing requirements with suitable manufacturing partners, then manage tooling, cutting, CNC machining, anodizing and delivery through one team.

Send us your drawings or profile requirements for an RFQ and engineering review.

Custom aluminum extrusion profiles for frames, rails and equipment

Where aluminum extrusion fits

Aluminum extrusion forms a continuous profile by pushing heated material through a die. It suits parts with a consistent cross-section along their length, including machine frames, linear rails, heat sinks, equipment enclosures and structural members.

A custom extrusion can combine features such as grooves, channels, ribs and mounting interfaces into one profile. Features that vary along the length—such as cross-holes, end details or local pockets—may need secondary CNC machining.

Extrusion is not automatically the lowest-cost choice.

Tooling requires an upfront investment, so the right process depends on profile complexity, quantity, repeat demand and the amount of machining or finishing required afterward.

A manufacturing partner for the complete part

We coordinate aluminum extrusion projects through our network of 50+ proven manufacturing partners in Dongguan and the Pearl River Delta. Rather than routing every part through one factory, we match the work to manufacturing resources suited to its process and production needs.

From profile concept to production-ready drawing

A useful extrusion drawing defines more than the outside dimensions. It should show the complete cross-section, critical dimensions, tolerances, material requirements and any functional interfaces.

Our 10 manufacturing engineers, each with more than 10 years of industry experience, review the design for production considerations.

What we review

  • Wall thickness and transitions across the profile
  • Grooves, slots and internal features
  • Critical fit or alignment dimensions
  • Cut length and end conditions
  • Areas that need post-extrusion machining
  • Surface finish and appearance requirements

If a feature adds cost but does not affect function, we can discuss alternatives. The goal is to help you make informed trade-offs before tooling or production begins.

Tooling investment and order volume

Custom extrusion generally involves a die investment, making order quantity and expected repeat demand central to the cost decision. We review tooling costs alongside unit price, post-processing, lead time and the expected product lifecycle.

For an RFQ, let us know whether the program is a prototype, a one-time order or a recurring production requirement. If forecasts are available, include both the initial release quantity and estimated annual demand. This helps us assess the economics without treating a low initial quantity as the whole project.

Tooling arrangements and project terms depend on the selected manufacturing partner and should be confirmed during quotation.

Secondary CNC machining, cutting and anodizing

Extrusion can create the profile efficiently, but finished parts often need additional operations. We coordinate those steps as part of the project so that profile production and downstream requirements are considered together.

Share which surfaces are functional, visible or subject to assembly requirements. This information helps us account for finishing and machining in the quotation and production plan.

Sawing and cut-to-length

Cut lengths and end conditions set to drawing requirements.

CNC machining

Holes, slots, faces and end features.

Deburring and finishing prep

Preparation before anodizing and other treatments.

Inspection

Verified against drawing requirements.

Packaging

Suitable for the part and the shipment.

Choosing between standard, custom and fully machined profiles

The lowest total cost depends on the part and quantity—not just the price per extrusion or the absence of tooling.

Option Often worth evaluating when Cost considerations
Standard aluminum profile A catalog section meets the design and interface requirements Avoids a custom die, but may require adaptation, extra machining or compromise on fit
Custom extrusion The part has a consistent cross-section and planned repeat demand Adds die investment, but can reduce material waste and machining per part
Full CNC machining Quantities are limited, geometry varies along the part, or a profile is not practical Avoids extrusion tooling, but machine time and material removal may raise unit cost

We can compare these routes using your geometry, material request, tolerances, volume, finishing needs and target schedule. For some projects, a hybrid approach—extruded stock with CNC-machined details—offers a practical balance.

Projects that suit our model

Our aluminum extrusion service is built for overseas B2B companies buying custom mechanical parts, not one-off consumer products. It is particularly relevant to:

We are a strong fit when an order involves multiple part numbers, secondary processes or recurring production—and when reliable communication and delivery matter alongside unit cost.

  • Machinery and automation manufacturers sourcing frames, rails and brackets
  • Robotics and equipment companies with multiple custom components
  • Electronics or instrumentation businesses requiring housings and heat-sink profiles
  • Product development teams moving from prototype toward repeat production
  • Overseas manufacturers that need a coordinated China supply chain

Quality requirements and project documentation

We match projects to manufacturing partners based on process capability, quality consistency, delivery performance, engineering support and production capacity. Where a project requires material traceability, inspection records or a particular quality system, tell us before quotation so we can assess suitable partners.

Our network includes manufacturers operating under recognized systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100D and ISO 13485. Certification availability and scope depend on the actual partner selected; we confirm applicability to the project rather than assuming a certification covers every process or product.
